SEDE LAS DELICIAS

El proceso de enseñanza en la escuela Las Delicias empezó en el año de 1965, tiempo en el cuál la Escuela funcionaba en una pesebrera, surgió por la necesidad de educar a los hijos de las personas que en ese tiempo habitaban la vereda y debido a que es un lugar muy apartado de la cabecera municipal.

Las primeras profesoras que allí trabajaron fueron :

" GLORIA INÉS ARBELAEZ
" CARMEN RITA LÓPEZ

La comunidad viendo las condiciones en que se encontraba dicho lugar se dieron en la tarea de realizar actividades para recolectar fondos y así de esa manera poder hacer un aporte económico para la construcción de una escuela digna. Con el dinero recolectado por la comunidad y con la ayuda municipal y el Comité De Cafeteros, lograron construir la escuela en otro lugar ( Un poco más abajo donde estaba) este terreno fue donado por el INCORA pues la mayoría de tierras de esta vereda eran de esta entidad.
Las personas que contribuyeron para recolectar el dinero que aportó la comunidad son las siguientes:

" GERMÁN OROZCO
" OMAR MUÑOZ
" CARLOS GARCÍA
" ANA GARCÍA

En su mayoría ya fallecidos, en el año de 1991 se celebraron los 20 años de la Escuela, con actividades culturales, deportivas y sociales. Es el lugar donde se acogen la mayoría de actividades a realizar en la vereda.
En el año de 1999 empezó a implementarse la postprimaria auspiciada por el Comité De Cafeteros de Caldas, la cuál duró alrededor de 2 años debido a las dificultades presentadas por el Ministerio de Educación con los docentes para esa área rural.
Por tal razón los alumnos de secundaria son trasladados a la sede principal.
Los docentes que han pasado por esta escuela en su mayoría provienen de la ciudad de Manizales, algunos por contrato y otros por el Ministerio de Educación.




VIAS DE ACCESO


Posee una vía terciaria o local que es la encargada de comunicar vehicularmente las veredas de las Delicias, La Florida, Buenavista con la cabecera municipal o centros poblados rurales.

Las dos vías de acceso son:


" Delicias_Buenavista_Belmonte
.
" Delicias-Florida_La Habana.


La mayoría de escuelas del municipio se encuentran vinculadas con el Comité de Cafeteros el cual está encargado de la asesoría y acompañamiento en la metodología que se implementa.

Todos ellos han pasado por esta institución dejando huellas del empeño y del trabajo que han realizado por el progreso de la misma.


RECURSOS FISICOS Y EQUIPAMIENTO

La escuela de las delicias cuenta con una buena planta física constituida por dos aulas de clase, una habitación que se ha acoplado para algunos docentes que han vivido en la vereda; posee buenas instalaciones sanitarias, cocina, restaurante escolar y una gran cancha de futbol que permite realizar todas las actividades recreativas con mayor facilidad y comodidad tanto para los niños de la escuela como para la comunidad en general; permitiendo realizar campeonatos de futbol veredales y actividades de integración con niños de otras escuelas cercanas

Con respecto a equipamientos contamos con dos computadores; uno donado por la gobernación de Caldas y el otro donado por el señor Bernardo Ramírez habitante de la vereda.
Es de anotar que estos dos equipos de computación no son suficientes para el desarrollo del área de la informática dado a la cantidad de estudiantes que se encuentran matriculados y que asisten a ella, también posee un televisor donado por el alcalde municipal en ese entonces VICTOR HUGO ALZATE; una grabadora de CD adquirida con dineros de la gratuidad de la educación.


VINCULACION CON OTRAS ENTIDADES


La mayoría de escuelas del municipio se encuentran vinculadas con el Comité de Cafeteros el cual está encargado de la asesoría y acompañamiento en la metodología que se implementa.

La fusión cuenta con un convenio con el SENA en la sede principal la cual es la encargada de asesorar la especialización de los estudiantes del grado once, también contamos con el acompañamiento del ICBF con su programa de asistencia alimentaria a los restaurantes escolares dando una cobertura total a nuestros estudiantes.
